Save Money: skip the movie theater and watch a classic

Next time you’re stumped on what new movie to go see, take a step back in time and rent a classic. Not only will you save a couple of bucks on a ticket, but you may discover a new favorite film. After a century of filmmaking, so many movies have been made that you are guaranteed to find something you’ll love. Here are some recommendations for your Netflix queue or next trip to Blockbuster, all made in 1960 or before.

So don’t settle for the latest CGI dominated flick at the local theater. Check out a classic that has stood the test of time. For more great movies, check out the American Film Institute’s list of the 100 greatest movies ever made. They also have lists of the greatest comedies, thrillers, and other genres.
